Let me introduce myself. My name is Delicia Coleman Morson. This is my very first blog post so I thought it would be a good idea to tell everyone a little bit about myself. I’m a mother, wife, and I’ve been an attorney for over 22 years and current Candidate for Wayne County 3rd Circuit Court Judge. My husband and I have seven total kids; three that have kids, two college and above, and two at home. My current primary area of practice is litigation in Criminal Defense and Family law. That means I spend most of my time in trial. I also represent clients in Real Estate, Civil Business, Juvenile matters, Landlord/Tenant and Traffic law. Over the years I have also been an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Ecorse, prosecuting and counseling on aspects of Municipal law. Many of my clients are low-income, elderly and youth from traditionally disadvantaged backgrounds.
I am writing this blog to share some of my insights and perspectives from 22 years of fighting for our rights in the law. Some of the topics that I will cover will really hit home for some readers and stir debate. So, I look forward to my next post and hearing feedback from readers.
